.. can be a trap for the unwary
Recently a client wanted 2 nights at a London hotel.
We checked several options and showed we could offer a heavily discounted rate, better even than the hotel’s direct rate. However like many folk these days the client thought she might be able to better. So she talked to the hotel’s Reservations then checked Expedia… and booked with Expedia at a total of $400 more than we had offered her for the two nights!
When she told us we sorted it for her but I can only think they were bamboozled by exchange rate conversion!
