Here come the cruise ships for 2012/13

Radiance of the Seas from the Royal Caribbean Line will  be the first international cruise ship to arrive in Australia for the 2012/13 season, coming into Sydney Harbour on Friday 12 October.
Radiance of the Seas has been renovated and now boasts lifts facing the sea and floor to ceiling windows throughout the ship. There eight new places to dine, ranging from casual to fine dining and new nursery and a poolside cinema. There’s always plenty to do on the Royal Caribbean ships. After trawling Youtube I found the video at the right which will give you a good idea of this ship.
Rhapsody of the Seas will arrive on 14th October, Sunday. This too is a Royal Caribbean vessel.
Wednesday will see Carnival Spirit docked at the Overseas Terminal – she’ll come back on Saturday after a short cruise, and on Sunday 21st the Volendam will arrive.
Meanwhile round the corner at Barangaroo, Pacific Pearl (17th), Sea Princess (18th) and Sun Princess ( 22nd) will dock.
One of the best ways to check out the ships when they arrive is to catch a ferry. If you live near the harbour you can travel to Circular Quay, otherwise go to the Quay and catch a ferry round to Darling Harbour and you will get a bird’s eye view of ships at both the Overseas Terminal and Barangaroo.
